If you ever take the airport rail link from the Phayathai area of Bangkok, it will be hard to miss the Makkasan train yard. It stretches fairly far and is jam-packed with abandoned trains. There is a lot of security and getting into this place required wading through a filthy canal under the cover of darkness.
