I stumbled upon this beautiful sculpture piece on a tour of the Ithaca Commons. This piece was pushed off to the side beside a bus terminal. I was drawn to this mainly because it's a cage and can be interpreted in so many ways. As a painter/photographer I decided to take this picture and if you look at the ground you can see a self-portrait of myself. Really zoom in and you will see the portrait of me all battered up. All I ever wanted was to be loved and I feel around every corner I'm being knocked down time and time again; all I deserve is to be locked up in a cage where I'm just battered with all my beatings and love I don't deserve.
